Colour and Caro

I have cut some slightly larger prototypes from spray painted foam card to consider the impact of colour on some of the panels.  I have gone in the garden again to see how the colour works against the greenery.

I watched the Culture Show on Friday night on BBC2; Alastair Sooke  interviewed the mighty Anthony Caro as he prepares for a retrospective at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.

Rather like his contemporaries from that generation of artists, his  refreshing candour and confidence  in his own powers of intuition is inspiring, no post modern psycho babble and over reliance on fashionable art theory.  I love his use of vivid colour and unprecious attitude to his materials.
